FREE courses to help you search for work

These FREE courses will help you search for work, gain confidence and organise yourself.
You get support with the written parts of the courses, but you must have a good level of spoken English.

Ready for Work

These short courses help you complete application forms, write a CV and learn job search skills.

You can choose to attend either a Tuesday or a Friday course. Courses run all day on either Tuesday or Friday for two weeks from 9.30am - 3.30pm. You have to attend both weeks of your course.

Volunteering Works

These courses give you a chance to improve your skills and find a job. They are for anyone who is already volunteering and wants to gain a qualification to recognise their work. To join the course you need to have, or be able to find, a volunteering placement of at least 20 hours.

You will complete a Level 1 OCN qualification called Certificate in Event Volunteering.

The courses run all day on Mondays and Thursdays for 9 weeks from 9.30 am - 3.30pm. You must attend all the sessions.
